New Hope Pregnancy Center’s Sexual Risk Avoidance (SRA) Program is dedicated to teaching middle and high school students about the many benefits of avoiding risky behaviors, including sexual activity, in order to reach a more optimal healthy lifestyle.
Taught in public and private schools, churches, and community venues, the interactive abstinence program also teaches the importance of setting goals, identifying and maintaining healthy relationships, learning effective refusal skills, and developing important positive character traits. All lessons are taught by trained and experienced SRA educators who love working with teens and are passionate about teaching the abstinence message.
Parental education is also available to help parents understand the risks faced by their pre-teens and teens, and to provide information to help parents, grandparents, guardians and other involved adults feel confident in discussing sexual development, activity and responsibility.
Please contact New Hope Pregnancy Center’s SRA Program Director at 859-341-0767, ext. 11 to schedule this important program for your school, church, or other community organization.
The SRA program is funded primarily by a grant through the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services, Department for Public Health.
